Since a long time A/B testing was available for testing in the Facebook Ad Campaigns.
It was a feature that was well used by a lot of Advertisers to test out Audience Targeting, Different Creatives and Delivery Optimizations.
Now this feature is also available for your Facebook Posts in the Meta Business Suite.
Here is how it works…..
- Post testing in the Creator Studio of Meta Business Suite allows you to test up to 4 variants of your posts for the maximum of 24 hours.
- Each post variant will be shown to a different subset of your audience and also to similar audiences on Facebook.
- You can choose the metric by which you want to test the post for.
- The winning post will be automatically posted on your Page.
Let me show you step by step on how to create the A/B testing of Posts:
- On your Facebook Page, Click on “Create Post” , and in the pop-up window click on “Meta Business Suite”
2. Once You are in the Meta Business Suite, select “Content” from the Tab Menu
3. In the Content Page, Select “A/B Tests”
4. Click on “Create A/B Test”
5. In this Example I have selected to A/B test different Images for my post.
Important thing to note:
You can test video post against a video post , Image/Links/Text Posts can be compared against each other.
6. I have tested 2 different images and also I have changed my Text also ( sample text )
7. In the next screen, you can choose to give the “Test Name” and “Test Description”
8. In the same window, you will need to select the Metric you want to Test and the duration of the Test. I have decided to test “Reactions” and to run the Test for 3 hours ( minimum is 10 minutes and maximum is 24 hours ).
9. Now I am ready to launch the Test Post, I can decide to schedule the Test for a later date and time.
This a great new feature offered by Meta to determine which kind of posts are getting you the best results and the best post is automatically posted on your Page.
This will greatly enhance the performance of your Posts and the overall performance of your Page.
Since you already know that a particular post has performed the best you can now also boost the post , especially if it is a promotional post.
Have you tried this new feature? If Yes, please comment on how did you find this new feature……
